UPDATE on St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Window Competition

UPDATE ON ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE:

There will be rolling road closures in New Ross for this years parade on Friday. Sergeant Eddie Wilde said road closures will follow the parade’s route from the Bosheen to Irishtown and down through the town. He said the quay will be closed to lorries with traffic diversions in place from 3:00pm – 5:00pm.

There will be a large Garda presence in the town on the day. Parade organisers said excitement is building in New Ross as St. Patrick’s Day approaches for what will the biggest parade ever. All home owners on the route are asked to move the cars before 11:00am on Friday morning.

This year there will be a new prize category for best dressed pet, with a fantastic prize courtesy of fine crystal make Fred Curtis from Bannow.
